Course Overview

This is a long-running course with excellent results. It will give learners the relevant skills required to work in administration in a legal, medical or business setting. It is also an excellent pre-university option for those wishing to pursue a career in law. Legal Practice & Procedures will give students a grounding in legal terms and basic law and medical terminology, some of the practical skills required to work in a medical, dental or healthcare setting. IT skills provides expert skills in Microsoft Office applications, Text Production and Audio Transcription.

Careers and Opportunities 

Graduates are successful in gaining employment in solicitors’ offices, medical practices, hospitals, dentists, civil service, public sector, local authorities, financial services industries or any business requiring a high level of administrative skills. Other courses may also be considered in third level colleges that accept the Office Administration QQI 5M1997 award. Students may also progress to QQI Level 6 Marketing with Event Management in Marino College.
